VETERANS: "THANK YOU FOR SERVING!"

We owe a great debt of gratitude to those who have chosen to risk their lives to protect our country.  These are not just those who have engaged in battle, but all those who have chosen to serve.  They are all heroes.  I encourage all Americans to respectfully, graciously and sincerely thank each veteran that they meet for their service to this country.

I will introduce legislation proposing that veterans receive an extra tax exemption on their income taxes and I will fight to see that this gets passed and made into law.  This tax exemption should be a continual reminder to our nation's veterans of our appreciation for voluntarily risking their lives to protect ours.

I will always be a strong friend and attentive ear to the needs of our veterans.
