SUBSTANCE ABUSE

Illegal drugs are illegal because they harm people.  Those consuming those drugs are feeling the effects of being poisoned.  Fundamentally, we need to educate our children to stay away from drugs, dismantle the illegal drug network in this country, and determine effective and creative strategies to enable countries that contain major drug cartels to dismantle those cartels thereby ending the drug war.

I will support legislation that includes aggressive public education campaigns against substance abuse.

I will support legislation that will more effectively enable our society to dismantle the illegal drug network in this country

I will support legislation that would implement sound strategies that will enable (and produce incentives for) countries that contain major drug cartels to dismantle those cartels.
